Last May, Mayor Eric Garcetti, the County of Los Angeles, the State of California, automakers, and other leaders came together with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator to form the Transportation Electrification Partnership, to go further and faster together toward transportation electrification and zero emissions to reduce air pollution and GHGs by the time the world arrives in Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympics.

This year, the partnership has set the most ambitious targets in the nation to move to electric cars and trucks, charging stations, to affirm California’s right to set standards for GHG emissions and clean vehicle standards.

The Roadmap v2.0 release marks TEP's transition to develop and pursue policies, incentives, pilots to accelerate progress toward these targets by 2028. Inspired by the Olympics spirit in 1984, TEP wants to show the world that LA--known for traffic, smog, and fast cars--can come together this time to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution while growing our economy and creating jobs.

Together, let’s clean our air and fight the climate crisis by making the LA area the world’s leader in zero emissions.

Let’s also encourage other regions to move faster by creating regional collaborations on zero emissions transportation like TEP, whether across California or across the United States.
